DIAL - South Essex
DIAL offers a confidential disability information, advice and advocacy service. We help people with any type of disability and offer help on any subject. Most of DIAL’s staff and volunteers are disabled and understand what our clients are going through as many have been in the same situation themselves. We can help with benefits, mobility, leisure, aids and adaptations.
We help with general information and advice face to face from our office in Grays. We offer a Home Visiting service for people unable to get to us for help with benefit applications and independent living advice. We offer help with our Welfare Rights Service to help people with appeals, casework, submissions and tribunal.
We also support The Coming Together Project which is one of our projects that gives people an opportunity to access social groups, training sessions or just to talk to each other. We want to connect people who live close to each other, who can support each other and develop friendships that will help them with tasks they find difficult. You can also access three adult groups in Basildon & Thurrock
