Feeding the Family - Give Guide Grow Programme

Feeding the Family is an innovative and loving response to a need for the lonely and vulnerable in the local community of Basildon. We support social inclusion, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society. We offer a programme of: providing hot meals, teaching basic cooking skills, facilitating local Eat & Meets, and the provision of volunteering opportunities.

The Give Guide Grow programme consists of:
 
  •  Give - A hot meal delivery to the home once a week for up to 6 weeks
  •  Guide - In person cooking course lasting up to 12 weeks 
  •  Grow - Eat & Meet is a weekly gathering where we get together for a hot meal

Who can use this service?

For those experiencing social isolation and loneliness. 

How are services delivered?

The programme is broken into 3 stages Give, Guide, Grow to gently encourage service users back into the community as they work thier way through each stage. Hot delivered meals, cooking courses and Eat & Meet groups.
