Hamelin: Links
Links helps autistic adults and people with learning disabilities to reduce isolation, build confidence and connect with others in their local community. The service operates across Chelmsford, Braintree and Basildon, reflecting local community social groups for adults and supportive opportunities to meet others. In some cases, participants may be matched with trained volunteer befrienders to support social engagement and confidence building. Links is free to access and also offers information, advice and guidance to eligible individuals.

Who can use this service?
Links operates in the Chelmsford, Braintree, and Basildon districts. It is for adults aged 18 and over who are autistic or have a learning disability (no formal diagnosis is required). Participants should be able to access the community independently without one-to-one care or supervision and not require support with medication or feeding.
How are services delivered?
Support is delivered face to face through community-based social groups, activities and volunteering opportunities.
