Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust

We provide confidential breast awareness advice with trained nurses via a face-to-face appointment or a secure video appointment or telephone call to anyone who wants one, without having to see a GP first. Checking your breasts regularly can make a huge difference in early detection, whether you’re 25 or 75. By learning what’s normal for you, and understanding potential early signs of breast cancer, you can make sure you get the screening, help and support you may need, as soon as possible.

We have also recently set up the The McAdden Sanctuary.  This is a dedicated support space created specifically for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer, whether they are currently in treatment or in recovery. It was developed in response to people saying they needed more than just medical care - they needed emotional, social and wellbeing support too.

The Sanctuary focuses on holistic and emotional wellbeing, providing a calm, nurturing environment and a variety of tailored activities and therapies, such as:

Wellbeing therapies like oncology massage, reflexology, and counselling
Creative and group activities for connection and mutual support
Sessions with health professionals (such as local GPs and specialists) to share information and empower people through knowledge
