Environmental Health is the service responsible for dealing with a number of enforcement issues including: housing standards in the private rented sector, including bedsit accommodation; undertaking public health funerals (where a deceased person has no known family to arrange a funeral); health and safety at work (for offices, shops and warehouses) and noise pollution and other statutory nuisances. How are services delivered?
Any resident who needs support in relation to the matters outlined in the service summary, or in the case of workplace health and safety, anybody impacted.
Any referrals will be subject to a triage process to identify whether the issue is capable of being dealt with under the legal powers available.
