Sands: Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity

Essex Sands is part of Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. Sands operates throughout the UK, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, working to improve the care bereaved parents receive, and promoting research and working closely with many different organisations to reduce the loss of babies’ lives. The support we offer can be accessed via telephone and email, and through support meetings and events with other bereaved families. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are here to listen and offer our support.

While we have our Support Meetings in South Woodham Ferrers on the first Thursday of every month we welcome bereaved parents from across all of Essex. We tend to see parents who have been to Broomfield, Basildon, Southend and Queens Hospitals and we welcome all bereaved parents and family members who are looking for support, regardless of your baby’s gestation period. We also have a group that meets regularly in the Clacton on Sea area.
