BOSP: Support for Young People (18-25)

Brighter Opportunities for Special People have two services for young adults with additional needs aged 18-25 to socialise and experience a variety of fun and exciting actitivies. Skills 4 Life is BOSP's educational weekday, daytime opportunity for young people aged 18 to 25 years, providing bespoke vital life and social skills to support transition into adulthood. BOSP Chill Zone is an Out & About Club for young people 18+ aimed at promoting independence through decision making, social skills and travel.

Skills 4 Life: BOSP's educational weekday, daytime opportunity for young people aged 18 to 25 years. Skills 4 Life provides bespoke vital life and social skills to support transition into adulthood. Our small groups and high level of support ensures the young people grow in confidence and independence. Find out more HERE

A variety of fun and exciting activities are on offer each week, including sports, meal planning, shopping, preparing an serving, gardening and basic DIY, social activities, IT skills, opportunities to gain a formal qualification and so much more.

Chill Zone: An Out & About Club for young people 18+ aimed at promoting independence through decision making, social skills and travel. Activities include amongst others, Adventure Island, foot golf, crazy golf, Canalability, theatre trips, clubbing and meals out. Find out more HERE

The young people will often make use of public transport, whilst fully supported by BOSP staff. The young people are encouraged to be as independent as they can possibly be.

Skills 4 Life: Monday - Friday (9:30am - 3:30pm) at BOSP's Skills for Life Centre, Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea, Basildon, SS16 4UH.

Chill Zone: Various times, various venues/activities out and about in the community - usually Saturday afternoons/evenings or Sundays.
