La Danse Fantastique: Parkinson's Classes

The aim of this project is to provide FREE ballet and singing classes to people with Parkinson's and their carers. Ballet classes have been proven to help both physical and mental symptoms including help with balance, tremors, slowed movement, rigidity and stiffness. We also offer the chance to socialise on a regular basis through tea dances and our refreshment bar which serves (for a small charge) tea, coffee and snacks, before and after classes.

These classes are run by a qualified / experienced teachers and the programme is supported by Basildon Council. Our hope is to continue to develop this programme and include other dance classes such as Ballroom.

We receive referrals via this platform and from the NHS/local doctors. The public are welcome to drop-in, or contact us on 01268 523795 or email: information@ladansefantastique.uk.
