Renew Counselling: Eating Disorders Support

Supporting children and young people with eating disorders: a new funded programme from Renew Counselling and Training. YP Re-Ed supports young people aged 11 to 18 in Basildon, Brentwood, Chelmsford and surrounding areas, providing a lifeline for those who need it most. The programme will include one-to-one counselling for young people, as well as drop-in support sessions for parents and guardians, equipping them with the tools to help their loved ones.

Help for young people:
Our specially trained counsellors will work with you to help you understand your feelings, build emotional resilience, and take steps towards regaining control of your life.

We know it’s not easy to open up, and that’s okay. Our counsellors will help you find your voice, at your own pace, using approaches that feel comfortable and right for you.

Help for parents, carers and families:
Our parent support groups offer: 

  • A safe place to share experiences
  • Practical tools and strategies to help you support your child
  • Understanding of what your loved one is going through

Our FREE Parent support groups are funded by The Prudence Trust and The Stone Family Foundation. They are held in-person every Wednesday 10am-11.30am or online from 6pm-7pm. To sign up for these free groups please contact
