Carers Choices Home Help Service
Carers Choices is a registered charity supporting people in Essex for over 40 years. Our Home Help service helps you to maintain independence in your own home. We provide housework, cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, prescription collections, companionship, trips out and a sitting service. The cost is £23.50 per hour for housework ansd shopping (plus 45p per mile for shopping), £31 for sitting service. Assessments are free and all staff have enhanced DBS checks.

Visits are a minimum of 1 hour with the majority at 2 hours. We pride ourselves in going further than any other organisation to deliver more services in the home and these are complemented by our other day centre services. We are fully insured and all our staff have comprehensive training to provide the best service.
We do not provide intimate care services.
We do work with Social Care in Essex CC and Southend who commission our services on behalf of carers and clients.
Who can use this service?
The service is available to anyone who is in need of additional support to remain independent living in their own home.
