Wheels to Wellbeing

Do you know of someone that might benefit from getting active through cycling? Essex Pedal Power is a community-based cycling project in Basildon that provides a variety of cycling activities in the area. Through our Wheels to Wellbeing project participants will have an opportunity to try out cycling in a variety of different ways depending on their skill level and abilities. Participants will journey through our 5 step Hub and Spoke model which ensures they are supported in the best way into their cycling journey and beyond.

Further info

The Wheels to Wellbeing project is an opportunity for local people experiencing significant socio-economic barriers and supporting them into getting active. Participants will meet cycle prescribers who will go through 5 steps to help them get active, learn about other projects in the area and meet new people. Whether that be through regular 1 to 1 support sessions on a bike or seated pedal exercise, helping participants meet their goals and also support them to attend other local sessions along the way.

Our Cycle Prescribers will also be able to signpost participants into other support services to further their journey in other areas if neccessary.
