Basildon Council has partnered with providers of career advice, job seeking support, skills and training, to support local people in a welcoming and accessible space. Pathways is for anyone who is looking for help finding work or wants to gain new skills or retrain to enter more fulfilling, secure and better paid employment.

  • Workshops on how to boost your chances of getting a job
  • Ongoing one-to-one help for jobseekers with mental health problems or disabilities to find work
  • Referral to free courses with qualifications in a wide range of industries
  • Monthly themed career events and job fairs
  • Recruitment drives for new employers to the local area

Who can use this service?

Anyone can receive help from Pathways, whether they are employed or unemployed, on benefits or not receiving benefits, over 18 or under 18.

How are services delivered?

Support is delivered in-person at Pathways in the Basildon Centre. Most of the support on offer at Pathways is delivered one-to-one, however we also hold regular workshops for small class sizes.
