A range of free weight management services for adults registered with a GP surgery in Essex. Our programmes are designed to promote safe weight loss of between 0.5-1 kg (1-2lb) a week. Introducing steps one week at a time to help build the tools that will enable confident use for continued weight loss. We believe in helping people to #LoseWeightHappily. This consists of positive, motivational and educational solutions to help you lose weight for good. We know losing weight can be difficult, emotional and testing, so we’re here to help.

Essex Home Help Service

Essex Home Help Service is a registered charity which offers support within the home to the elderly, vulnerable, and carers of loved ones. Services include housework, shopping, prescription collections, companionship and sitting service. The cost of this service is £22.50 per hour for housework and shopping (plus 45p a mile for shopping trips), £25.00 per hour for sitting/companionship. We also offer a free Telephone Befriending service where the same volunteer calls at the same day and time each week to help combat loneliness and isolation.

Reach Out for Mental Health offers a variety of support for those struggling with suicidal thoughts. We provide a safe, confidential and respectful space for you to talk to a trained volunteer befriender or trainee counsellor about anything which may be troubling you. Hearing Help Essex exists to alleviate the isolation and loneliness that hearing loss can bring. We work with those who have acquired hearing loss, by offering practical help, support, advice and guidance. We work very closely with the audiology departments of Broomfield, Basildon, Colchester, Epping, Harlow, Addenbrookes, and Southend Hospitals, who recognise the value of our work and refer clients to us.
